Busseto - Villa Pallavicino's Stables /index.php/en/Latest-News/busseto-villa-pallavicinos-stables /index.php/en/Latest-News/busseto-villa-pallavicinos-stables

When Riccardo Muti came to visit the Exhibition dedicated to Renata Tebaldi held in Palazzo del Governatore, in Parma, he challenged the city with these exact words: `If Parma, the birthplace of Verdi, really wants to establish its identity in the world of music, this Exhibition should become the permanenet Museum presenting the life of Renata Tebaldi, as grat artist and as woman".
The town of Busseto, where the “Verdi places” are, has readily ha accepted the challenge e it has offered the prestigious Palace of Stavles of Villa Pallavicino to held the Renata Tebaldi permanent Museum.

Recent restoration will make this centre one of the most prestigiuos memories of italian music world.

Ricardo Muti at Parma to visit the Renata Tebaldi Exhibition /index.php/en/Latest-News/riccardo-muti-a-parma-per-visitare-la-mostra-renata-tebaldi /index.php/en/Latest-News/riccardo-muti-a-parma-per-visitare-la-mostra-renata-tebaldi Ricardo Muti at Parma to visit the Renata Tebaldi ExhibitionParma - January 18, 2012

At exactly 3:30 P.M. on the 18th of January, Maestro Riccardo Muti will be at Parma to visit the exhibition, dedicated to Renata Tebaldi and set up in the halls of the Governor’s Palace. With his presence the illustrious Maestro celebrates an artist with whom he shared reciprocal feelings of admiration and friendship.

The visit of the Maestro is also a valid reason for which Parma, universally recognized as the symbol of Italian melodrama and the city where Renata Tebaldi took her first steps towards an incredible career, should dedicate to its famous daughter a stable, imperishable reminder and demonstrate, in this distracted country which is Italy, that there are examples of responsible remembering.

To the authorities and to the press, Maestro Muti will confirm his commitment to act so that Culture, of which Music is an integral part, has the proper importance in the civil activity of a Nation which defines itself as civil.

Together with the evidence of her life found in this exhibition, Renata Tebaldi has returned to the city which supported her first footsteps along the pathway of Art. It is, in fact, at the Conservatory at Parma that Master Campogalliani imagined, for a piano student there, the future of the greatest lyrical singer in history.

The Regio Theatre and its Superintendent Mauro Meli, the Renata Tebaldi Committee, of which I am honoured to be president and the Municipality of Parma see the event offered to the citizens of Parma as the confirmation of a basic belief about culture: make memories live in order to stimulate knowing.

At the end of the visit to this exhibition, the visitor will know better and more about a woman who held high the prestige of Italian culture throughout the world.

Giovanna Colombo (President)

October 4, 2011

Next  October 21 during the Verdi Festival and in collaboration with Parma’s Regio Theatre Foundation, the “Renata Tebaldi Profound and Infinite”Exhibition will be
set up in the splendid and prestigious “Governor’s Palace”  which dominates the great Garibaldi Square of Parma.

The exhibition, which was set up at Langhirano in the Castle of Torrechiara, will now take place in the city where Renata Tebaldi took her first steps as an artist.

In this way, the municipality of Parma, with a rare demonstration of foresight, has chosen to offer greater accessibility to the rich evidence, testimony to the life of one of the most loved glories of Italian musical culture.

In the halls of the Palace an array of images, objects, documents, costumes, sounds will help the visitor see and hear all there is of authentically alive and true of a “myth”;  to be remembered by those who had the fortune to hear Renata Tebaldi and to be passed on to those future generations who will be able to discover the uniqueness of the woman and of the Artist.

The Tebaldi Rose at the Botanical Garden of Castle Trauttmansdorff /index.php/en/Latest-News/rosa-tebaldi-al-giardino-botanico-di-castel-trauttmansdorff /index.php/en/Latest-News/rosa-tebaldi-al-giardino-botanico-di-castel-trauttmansdorff September 5, 2011

The rose  created for Renata Tebaldi in 1987 by Georges Delbard with a religious ceremony in the presence of Renata.

The originally button shaped flower lengthens to take the form of a tulip when it opens.  Its solid red-orange colours are uniform and bright, and the rose has a delicate perfume.

Also in 1987, the Tebaldi Rose was planted in the Bagatelle rose garden, located in the “Bois de Boulogne” at Paris, with an official ceremony and reception held in the presence of Madam Chirac.

We have requested that the Tebaldi Rose be united with the other roses planted in the Botanical Garden of Trauttmansdorff Castle which is considered to be the largest and most important of Europe.
